Take a chance on a work of poetry? [10]

The gimmick of this puzzle’s theme entries is that it takes common words that begin with “a” and splits them–STUDY ABROAD becomes STUDY A BROAD, for instance. Mileage varies, but it’s a way to see words and phrases anew, and this entry sticks both the takeoff (clue) and landing (answer): RISK A VERSE.
